Rutin, also called rutoside, quercetin-3-rutinoside and sophorin, yellow to greenish yellow powder, is a citrus flavonoid glycoside found in the flower bud of Scphora japonica L, also present in many other plants and sometimes referred to as Vitamin P. Rutin is the glycoside between the flavonol quercetin and the disaccharide rutinose. both quercetin and rutin are used as medications for blood vessel protection and are ingredients of numerous multivitamin preparations and herbal remedies.

Function of CAS 153-18-4 Rutin
 

1.Rutin can maintain the resistance of blood vessels, reduce the permeability, reduce brittleness and so on. It has the effect of removing fat in the liver infiltrated by fat, and the effect of combining with glutathione is more obvious. It also has antiviral effect and aldose reductase inhibiting effect.
2. Rutin can reduce capillary permeability and brittleness, maintain and restore the normal elasticity of capillaries. Clinical for the prevention and treatment of cerebral haemorrhage, hypertension, diabetes, retinal hemorrhage, purple and acute hemorrhagic nephritis. It has good anti-chemicalbook radiation and anti-free radical effect on the skin, and has a strong absorption effect on ultraviolet and X-ray.
