_{1.Phenprobamate is white shiny crystalline powder. Melting point 101-104°C, soluble in ethanol, chlo roform, pro pylene glycol and ethylenedia mine, slightly soluble in ether, almost insoluble in water. Odorless, slightly bitter taste, slightly numb.
2.Phenprobamate (3-phenylpropylcarbamate) is a centrally acting muscle relaxant with mild sedative and anticonvulsant effects.
